• TAFT STAFF LOT - Attention Students: Parents are not to drop off students in the Staff Taft Lot. Please remind your parents that the Taft Staff lot IS NOT a parking lot for student drop off or pick up. This is causing very hazardous conditions for buses, staff and students. So please be courteous of this policy!

PSAT/SAT SCORES - In order to access your PSAT/SAT scores, you must create a College Board account at www.collegeboard.org. If you have forgotten your login information, please contact College Board directly.  If your score does not automatically show up, please follow the instructions on the page to manage your profile and input your address. This should populate your test scores.  

DRESS CODE & PERSONAL GROOMING - The Board of Education believes that students must wear appropriate attire in order to maintain an appropriate learning environment for education and that student behavior is influenced by their attitude and dress. Each school has certain rules for dress that must be adhered to. Students that dress inappropriately will be sent home to change. Dress that reflects in a derogatory manner upon the race, religion, sex, or national origin of members of the student body will not be permitted. 

Whenever student attire is disruptive to a classroom activity, interferes with testing integrity or creates a safety hazard, the student will be required to change before continuing with classes. School is a place of business and requires businesslike clothing. This means that bare midriff, bare shoulders, short skirts or shorts, “soffe” shorts, sheer/see-through materials, halter-tops, spaghetti strap tops, side-cutout shirts, hoods, undershirts and visible undergarments are not permissible. Also, not appropriate are any items of clothing that advertise or condone the use of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, violence, or any unauthorized organization deemed to be in conflict with school policies and practices. 

In regards to skirts, dresses, and/or shorts, we are requiring that students cover 30% of their leg length. Leg length is determined by measuring from the top of the leg to the floor in bare feet. The skirt hem is measured from the floor in bare feet as well. Specific guidelines are available from the grade level administrator upon request. 

In regards to waistlines (for both males and females), the top of the waistline is to be worn above the hips. 

Students who do not comply with the dress code will be asked to put on more appropriate clothing, and if none is available, may be asked to go home to get suitable attire.

SUMMER BOWLING FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR - Meet every Tuesday beginning on June 19th from 12:30 - 2:00 at Novi Bowl at a cost of $6.00 per session. This is for anybody interested in bowling next year.

LOCKER ASSIGNMENTS - You will remain in the same assigned locker from this year with the same locker partner.  If you prefer to switch your location (lockers are also available in the athletic area) and/or partner, please sign up in the Attendance Office or email Mrs. Sherman at shelley.sherman@novik12.org 

ALL LOCKER COMBINATIONS WILL BE CHANGED.  

Remove all items from your locker as they will be completely cleaned out after school on June 15th. If you leave any textbooks in your locker, you will be charged a $5 restocking fee for each book.  Also, if you leave your locker a mess, you will be charged a cleaning fee of $20. 

LOST AND FOUND - Students please remember to check the lost and found for any lost items. All items not claimed by the end of the school day on Friday, June 15th will be donated to charity. Thank you very much!

NDC SUMMER DATE FOR ADVANCED COMPANY
Contemporary Choreography with Katy Dinkelmann: July 25th & 26th, 9am-2pm Intermediate & Advanced Company: · Intensive (Technique & Choreography): Monday August 13th –Friday August 17th , 10am-3pm, (Technique together, separate dances)

· Hip Hop Choreography: Week of August 20th , 2 days (4 hours each),both companies together, exact dates/times TBD
